Salman Akram is the CEO of TCS Holdings, looking after all TCS business units and companies. During his time with TCS, Salman has spearheaded the Retail, Marketing and Corporate Sales divisions.
Salman comes with extensive and diverse experience of over 20 + years in Sales, Marketing & Business Management. Having worked with leading companies in both the service and manufacturing sectors, Salman has well-rounded knowledge in all business aspects. He has been instrumental in reinforcing the Company’s shared vision ‘Delivering beyond Customer Expectations’ by effectively serving the needs of the corporate sector and establishing TCS as the preferred logistics solution provider in the country. . He established ‘TCS Supply Chain Advisory’ to provide customized supply chain solutions to individual customers in line with their current and future needs and challenges.
Prior to TCS, Salman was part of the Management team at Philips Electrical Industries of Pakistan. Earlier, he has served in the Telecom sector where he started his career as a Marketing Executive in Paktel. He is a graduate of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) with majors in Marketing.
Salman Hasan is the CEO of TCS E-Com (Pvt) Ltd, overseeing business management and online/web sales channels. Salman brings with him over 16 years of experience in Banking & Marketing with a special focus on developing, launching and Profit and Loss (P&L) Management of Business Lines from Credit Cards, Branch Banking, Autos, and Mortgages to Personal Finance products. He is a specialist in launching and revamping business lines within aggressive deadlines.
Prior to his appointment at TCS E-Com, Salman was heading the Credit Cards division at Silkbank where he was responsible for the successful launch of VISA chip-based cards. Salman was also responsible for the turnaround team of K-Electric. As the GM Marketing, he created a new face of KE post-privatization as a forward-looking, customer-oriented power supply company for one of the largest cities in the world.
A graduate from IBA, Salman started his career from Union Bank Limited in Consumer Assets business development. He built on his career in United Bank Limited (UBL) as a Vice President – Product Manager, Mortgage Business and then went on to Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) where his last role was Vice President, Regional Head – Distribution Network.
Salman is also devoted to the cause of education in Pakistan. He is a member of Rahbar Council, The Citizens Foundation since February 2011. TCF Rahbar is a mentorship program aimed at the development of youth as responsible individuals and productive members of society.
Jamil Janjua is the CEO of Octara, and started his working career in 1967 as a Pilot for the national flag carrier PIA, flying to various international locales as Captain on 707s and Co-pilot on 747s. Medical reasons brought his airline career to a premature end, and he opted for a new career in Human Resource Development and Corporate Management. Soon in 1986, Jamil found himself at TCS (Pvt) Ltd. the leading courier service in Pakistan and during the next eleven years Jamil rose to Chief Operating Officer. During this time he played a vital role in 1991 as the communications coordinator for "Operations Self Renewal", a corporate development programme. This programme was to enable TCS to maintain its leadership position in the courier industry. The need for a new challenge beckoned and in 1996 he left TCS for the British Council as Head of Management Services.
In 2001, Jamil returned to TCS to take up the controls as Chief Executive Officer. His passion for self-development has found expression at various levels, and as a good corporate citizen, Jamil involved TCS in a public speaking program for school and college kids that he had begun at the British Council namely the Hyde Park Juniors. Upon Jamil’s initiative in 2006, TCS launched its own HR & Management Development Services under the name OCTARA to source local and overseas trainers of repute and conduct conferences, seminars and workshops for the corporate sector. To date, he continues as CEO of Octara.
He is happily married and has two children.
Mark joined TCS in May 2016 with the key objective to expand and enhance the international network. Due to huge growth in the business and consumer segments of Pakistan and the number of non-resident Pakistanis around the world, having a global service was imperative in reaching the strategic vision to ‘deliver beyond customer expectations’.
A major milestone was reached in November 2016 when a global alliance with UPS was signed and operations started, connecting Pakistanis around the world, wherever they may be.
TCS express centres across the country now carry the two brands proudly alongside each other. On the road, thousands of trucks, vans and bikes carry the UPS shield as a sign of quality and TCS’ capability as a global player. The focus now is to deliver best in class service, to take TCS towards being a world-class organisation.
Prior to joining TCS Mark spent twenty-three years with TNT Express, one of the leading global integrators. Starting in sales in the UK in 1992, he went on to manage business units in Spain, Portugal and the UK.
In 2008 Mark came to the Middle East, managing the Sales, Marketing and Commercial functions for TNT in the UAE; later overseeing a wider group of regional countries. During the last three years of his tenure, he was based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, as Managing Director.

Mr. Muhammad Amir Iqbal is the Chief Financial Officer at TCS Holdings Private Limited.
He is a finance professional with over two decades of experience spanning the entire gamut of finance with additional responsibility of overseeing the Family Office of Yunus Brothers; country’s leading business group. He has held several financial leadership positions over the years looking after strategic initiatives, financial operations, budgeting, planning, treasury, investor relations, business finance, risk, legal, compliance and dealing with regulators.
He is a strong proponent of the role of CFO as a corporate governance, transparency and social responsibility leader who helps in achieving the desired effectiveness while managing business economics throughout the value chain.
Amir over the years has been responsible for restructuring finance functions, developing proper financial reporting, forward looking models and value creation plans for the various businesses he has worked in. He has helped in the initiation and launch of several products along with incorporation and launch of a Holding Company, Asset Management Company and the first ever dollar denominated offshore fund of Pakistan.
Prior to joining TCS, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Artistic Milliners Private Limited. Earlier in his career he managed the office of YB Holdings (Private) Limited. He was also the Group CFO at BMA Capital Management, CFO & Company Secretary at BMA Asset Management and Chief Executive Officer and Director of BMA Financial Services.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and a Fellow Member.
Jameel Ashraf is the Director IT for the TCS Group. His core responsibility is to align the IT strategy with the overall business strategy to ensure smooth delivery of enterprise wide technology solutions and services, empowering TCS to maintain its leadership position.
Jameel is an experienced professional with over twenty years of experience in various IT verticals while working in telecom and banking industry, globally. At TCS, his major area of focus is to revamp the legacy IT applications and the infrastructure while building an agile development and support mechanism to keep up with growing customer demands.
Prior to joining TCS, Jameel was working for Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) in Dubai where he was responsible for the deployment of IT infrastructure and business applications for new franchises. Jameel has worked for JP Morgan Chase Card Services and for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) in Canada from 2009 to 2014 as a consultant project manager. During this tenure, he managed numerous large-scale projects involving applications development, infrastructure upgrade/refresh as well as business applications upgrade and deployment. Jameel was also associated with Dubai Islamic Bank, United Bank Limited (Pakistan), Logistics Solutions (USA) and SITA Equant (Pakistan) during 1998 – 2008. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from IIEE (Institute of Industrial Electronics Engineering) Karachi, enrolled in MBA / MIS programme at IBA twice though dropped out later and held PMP certified d project manager status from 2009-2015.

Minhaj joined TCS in February, 2016. He brings with him the experience of working in FMCG, Engineering, Financial services and a range of other fields.
The journey of achieving excellence in controls efficiency and systems improvements started by Minhaj & his internal audit team has significantly added value to TCS; some notable achievements collectively achieved by the TCS family in light of Audit recommendations are; Realignment and automation of the Internal Audit Department; Centralization and elevation of the level of documented SOPs, Policies and related guides; Standardization and centralization of agreements; Enhancement of policy and mechanism for intercompany transactions; Elevation of mechanism of pre-project feasibility analysis for delivering most cost effective and efficient solutions to customers etc.
Minhaj’s 15 years audit experience started from mandatory articleship with Khalid Majid Chartered Accountants, where he spearheaded several major clients including Banks, Airline, Manufacturing companies and Service providers. During his articleship he was elected unopposed as member of Chartered Accountants Students Association (CASA-South). He joined Adamjee Insurance Company Limited and added significant value to the business by redesigning traditional internal audit practices, implementing new ERP, standardization of underwriting mechanism, claim settlement process, and reinsurance underwriting mechanism. After serving Adamjee, he joined Indus Motor Company Limited. During his tenure at Indus Motor Company, he did not restrict himself with traditional audit approach, but participated in project appraisal meetings, price negotiation and vendor selection meetings, workplace safety activities, redesigning of management structure, inventory management activities, security protocols and many more.
Minhaj is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA), USA. He also holds degrees of M.A. (Economics) and M.Com. from the University of Karachi.
Brigadier Nasir joined TCS on Jan 1, 2015 and brought with him a rich experience of over three decades. Working with one of the most prestigious institutions of the country i.e. the Pakistan Army from 1984 till 2014, he was awarded a myriad of challenging appointments that helped him enrich his professional experience and knowledge primarily in the field of security/vigilance, administration, logistics and HR management.
Brig. Nasir has served in all four provinces of the country and Azad Kashmir, in addition to a foreign assignment with the UN Peace Keeping Mission, Ivory Coast as head of UN Observers’ Team. He is a graduate of the legendary Command & Staff College Quetta as well as Army College of Logistics Kuldana/Murree and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transportation (UK). He is qualified in Financial Management, Logistics Management, Material Management and HR Management from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi and Time Management from Pakistan Planning & Management Institute Islamabad (PPMI). He holds an International Certificate in Security & Risk Management from Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) and a Masters in International Affairs as well.
Upon taking over the position of Director Security, he quickly reorganized the department into two segments viz. Security and Risk Management. This restructuring aimed to help cover the whole spectrum of responsibilities, remarkably enhanced the overall efficiency and objectivity of Security & Risk Management. In addition to his core responsibilities, he actively participates in liaison and collaboration with key public and private sector institutions in various growth initiatives of the company.
Nauman Shahid Afzal brings with him over 22 years of experience in managing business supply chains of FMCG companies and has worked in organizations around the world, along with leading multi-functional business teams. Prior to TCS, Nauman served with British American Tobacco (BAT), where he was responsible for the Supply Chain Services for the South Asia region which included Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. He also led the two manufacturing sites for BAT in Pakistan, which are among the largest sites in the world for the group. He has served as Supply Chain Director for Reckitt Benckiser for the Middle East and North African Markets from 2008 to 2012 where he led the supply chains of 26 countries. He managed the end-to-end supply chains for these countries with over eight manufacturing sites and multiple distributors both in the Health Care and Home Care sectors.
Nauman started his career with Procter & Gamble in 1994 where he spent 14 years working in different capacities from an entry level process engineer to a member of the management team for Pakistan. He has worked in international assignments in diverse locations like Russia, Saudi Arabia and Romania.
Nauman is an Electrical Engineer, graduating from Imperial College of Science & Technology in London. He then pursued his Masters degree in the US from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a Chevening Scholar and a member of IEE, IEEE and the City of Guilds Union of London.
Shafiq Malik has over 22 years of in-depth experience of Operations and Business Management in Courier Express (Domestic & International), Logistics, Bulk Mailing, Gift Delivery, Warehousing, Transportation, Aviation, E-Com Logistics (E2E Fulfillment), Value Added Services, Travel Facilitation and Production.
Shafiq joined TCS in Operations in 1995. In recognition of his performance, in a short span of time, he was elevated to the position of Manager Network Operations where he contributed in raising the service levels by uplifting operational efficiency. He was soon promoted as Senior Area Business Manager to lead Business in KHI, which contributes 45% in terms of volumes and revenue to the TCS Group.
In 2004, Shafiq became the youngest team member to be placed as Country Head Operations – Express, a flagship service of TCS. In 2005, he spearheaded a new business division; MMS – Mail Management Solutions. He was given the Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and was also tasked to introduce digital printing and automated stuffing facilities as Business Head.
Shafiq has served at various regional & country level positions in the areas of Business, Operations and Business Process Reengineering (BPR). He was also the key person to operationally start Warehousing and Visa Facilitation operations in TCS. Currently, he is engaged in strategizing the execution and shaping the operational deliverables for the launch of yet another TCS milestone, TCS Hazir.

Sohail has over 29 years of well-rounded experience, both locally and globally. He started his career in 1989 with American Express Bank – Travel Related Services Company, Inc. TRS. In 1994, he joined Citibank Pakistan Credit Card team in the Service department to identify process gaps and remove deficiency within end-to-end processes. He was also a part of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team responsible for launching consumer products in emerging markets in the region. Later on, he served Citibank Bahrain and then Russia as Resident Vice President – Head of Consumer Operations.
In UBL, as Global Head Consumer Operations, he was the core team member responsible for the strategic transformation of the bank into a modern and technically advanced consumer bank driven by innovation, value and profitability. As Head of Consumer Operations, Dubai Islamic Bank, apart from his role, he additionally managed the centralized and branch banking operations of the bank.
Prior to joining TCS in 2015, he was with Silk Bank as Executive Vice President - Head of Operations & Technology Islamic Banking.
In TCS, Sohail took another career challenge to digitize the legacy operations processes & delivery services. Sohail is leading the digital transformation vision & strategy, design thinking driven innovation, business & operational alignment, governance, execution and change management. Sohail has over 26 years of well-rounded experience, both locally and globally, Sohail started his career in 1989 with American Express Bank – TRS. Syed Shauket Abbas started his career soon after his MBA in Marketing in 1990 in the Pharmaceutical Industry. In 1994, he joined TCS as Business Development Manager in the Lahore office. He was promoted to Assistant Manager in 1995, and then to Regional Sales Controller position for a newly developed regional structure, a few months after that. In 1996, he became Sales Manager and was given the ‘Best Sales Manager Award’ in the same year. He became Corporate Sales Manager in 1999, and Area Sales Manager in 2002. Under his supervision, Lahore region was declared “Best Sales Area” in the TCS network. In 2004, Shauket became Area Business Head for TCS Faisalabad and achieved 100% targets of all businesses and won different business awards. He took charge as General Manager - Central in 2005 (Lahore/Multan/Faisalabad). In 2007, TCS Management placed him at the Karachi head office as General Manager – South, which entailed the challenging rural & urban parts of Sindh & Baluchistan. In 2009, as Director Sales – South, his responsibilities expanded to manage the development of B2B and B2C businesses. In 2011, Shauket was entrusted with “National Manager Retail Business” for the entire country, including the newly floated Franchisee program. The business revenue witnessed a growth of 150% and retail outlets footprint a whopping 100% growth within 3 years.
Shauket has undertaken multiple mid to high-level management courses throughout his career. This arduous yet rewarding journey of about 25 years where he gave a major part of his youth to TCS, rewarded him with another milestone where he heads a team of, and manages more than 900 retail outlets offices countrywide as “Country Head Consumer Business”. This portfolio includes TCS Express, Overland Cargo, Financial Services Travel (Intiana) & Visa (Visatronix) businesses, and the newly launched project of sales of Tickets & Value-Added Services, with complete P&L responsibility.
